The Migrant Protection Platform is pleased to invite you to the webinar “Unlocking Reintegration: Insights from Recent Research Across Stakeholders" that will take place on Monday, 29 April 2024 at 3pm CEST.

This webinar will center on examining the most recent research findings and perspectives regarding the reintegration of returnees. 

Representatives from the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Bonn International Centre for Conflict Studies (bicc), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will present their research, offering corroborating evidence and facilitating a debate on effective strategies for reintegration.

The discussion will delve into empirically collected reintegration experiences, exploring the multifaceted factors that influence this process. These factors include macro-level conditions such as political stability and safety, economic considerations, psychosocial aspects and socio-demographic characteristics.

Key aspects of the event:
\ Exploring diverse empirical perspectives on reintegration experiences of migrant returnees and the factors influencing the reintegration process. 
\ Sharing valuable insights derived from the pioneering IMPACT Evaluation, shedding light on the net effect of assistance on reintegration outcomes.   
\ Gaining a deeper understanding of how socio-demographic characteristics can influence the reintegration process and challenges encountered by returnees. 
\ Reviewing recent research findings on reintegration from a gender perspective, providing insights into gender-specific considerations in the reintegration process.  

The webinar will take place on Zoom. A dedicated Q&A session at the end of the webinar will allow for peer exchanges.
