Visit of State Secretary Dirk Günnewig to BICC
On 31 March 2022, Dr Dirk Günnewig, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Science of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia (MKW) paid BICC a visit in Bonn. By presenting a selection of projects, the peace and conflict research institute showcased its work to him. The focus of the meeting was the extended contract with BICC for the coordination unit of CoRE-NRW.
Besides its research on extremism, BICC presented a selection of project activities in forced migration studies to State Secretary Dr Günnewig, which can stimulate humanitarian aid and integration, especially against the background of the war in Ukraine. The strategic orientation of the Peace and Conflict Research Institute was also discussed at the meeting.
