“Resources for a Fairer World” was the title of an exhibition project, which BICC had organized in conjunction with Bread for the World, EIRENE, Fatal Transactions, FIAN, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, medico international, MISEREOR and Urgewald. The photo exhibition presented the examples of diamonds, gold, crude oil, uranium, tropical timber, soya and cocoa. It provided information on the individual natural resource and describes the problems associated with its exploitation. Most importantly, however, it asked what changes can be made, and how consumers can help to ensure a fair market through their purchasing decisions. The photographs came from the international photo agency laif, whose photographs stand for informative and committed photojournalism.
