The purpose of this HDP Nexus Good Practice Guide is to support UN and other international agencies, INGOs, national/ local NGOs, donors and local governments (in the following referred to as HDP nexus actors) in designing, implementing and monitoring activities across the HDP nexus. It provides guidance on successfully operationalising the HDP nexus, to ensure that HDP nexus activities have a sustainable and positive impact on the socio-economic situation and well-being of individuals and communities at the local level.

This HDP Nexus Good Practice Guide provides guidance on designing, implementing and monitoring activities in the humanitarian, development and peace nexus. Its practical application can have a sustainable, positive impact on the socio-economic well-being of individuals and communities in global cooperation. It includes practical guidelines for HDP activities provide applicable information on conflict analysis, project design and the do no harm approach, as well as check-lists for organisational development and monitoring of activities.
