In many cities in Germany, there have been conflicts around the reception, housing and integration of refugees. Local actors responsible for the housing of refugees have used various strategies to encounter this challenge. On 17 February, municipal actors (mayors, representatives from the administration, integration commissioners, representatives of the association for local administration management), actors in refugee issues (social workers, staff of shelters for refugees, one representative of the Refugee Council NRW) as well as conflict advisors and researchers met at the Bonn University Forum for a mutual exchange of experiences.
