Validation of a National Disengagement, Disassociation, Reintegration and Reconciliation (DDRR) Strategy by the National DDRR Steering Committee, Local Authorities and Civil Society of the Lac province
Since December 2022, BICC, together with the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (DPO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), have supported the national Steering Committee for the Disengagement, Disassociation, Reintegration and Reconciliation (DDRR) of former associates of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in developing a national DDRR strategy. The strategy was validated on 25 November 2023 by the national DDRR steering committee, local authorities and civil society of the Lac province.
