Virtual meeting on the concept development for a West African Regional Work Plan for practical small arms control
On 20 May 2020, ECOWAS and BICC co-chaired a virtual meeting of West African experts on small arms control, representatives of the ECOWAS Small Arms Division, and BICC contributors.
This meeting convened regional experts to contribute to the development of a concept document for a regional work plan for practical arms control. The meeting was conducted in seven countries over four time zones. Funded by the German government, this meeting was part of BICC’s ongoing engagement to support ECOWAS within its current “Small arms and light weapons (SALW) control in Africa” project.
