From 14 to 19 September 2010 the anniversary conference of the Right Livelihood Award (“Alternative Nobel Prize”) took place in Bonn. The title of this meeting of Alternative Nobel Laureates from the past 30 years was “CHANGINGcourse–reclaiming our future“.

Aim of the Cluster Event “Peace on earth?”, organized by BICC and SEF, was the implementation of dialogue and networking between international and national peace and conflict researchers on the one hand and Laureates of the Right Livelihood Award (RLA) on the other in order to find a basis for common activities in the future.

Participating Award Laureates were

  • Dekha Ibrahim Abdi from Kenya,
  • Katarina Kruhonja from Croatia,
  • Theo van Boven from The Netherlands,
  • Rene Ngongo from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and
  • Mauricio Hernandez from Columbia.
