Ryan Swan joined BICC in November 2021 and presently serves as a Fellow. He received a Doctoral Scholarship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation’s Special Programme for Security, Society and the State for his doctoral research on Chinese security policy and the impact of emerging military technologies on China-US deterrence relations. Prior to joining BICC, he served as a Research Associate at the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the United States.
