Staff

Verena Krautter joined bicc as communications manager in 2023. She holds an MA in Literature, Art and Media Studies from the University of Konstanz and a BA in Applied Cultural Studies from the Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt and the Universidad Centroamericana in Managua, Nicaragua. She is also a certified peace and conflict consultant from the Academy for Conflict Transformation in Cologne. 

Before Verena joined bicc, she worked as a civil peace advisor and programme coordinator at GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Guatemala and Lebanon. She started her career at ifa – Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations in the Media Department in Stuttgart after gaining experience in media work and culture management at Deutsche Welle in Berlin, the Goethe-Institute in Egypt and the International Film Festival Guadalajara in Mexico.
