Webinar Series on “Exchange on DDR (-related) Processes Among National-level Practitioners: Fostering Peer Support and South–South Cooperation and Learning”
Since October 2022, BICC, together with the African Union, the UN Department of Peace Operations (DPO) and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has been organising a webinar series on “Exchange on Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) (-related) Processes Among National-level Practitioners: Fostering Peer Support and South–South Cooperation and Learning”, in which national DDR commissions and focal points meet every two months to exchange ideas on DDR-related topics, challenges and opportunities. This year’s third session took place on 3 October and brought together national-level DDR practitioners on the question of DDR institutional architecture. The last session of the year took place on 28 November and focussed on operational aspects of DDR, including sustainable reintegration options.
